A Different Burden

I want people to ponder something. I want you to think about for a moment what it feels like to be a Police Officer of color right now. I call people to pray for these brave men and women who are continuing to serve their communities under an insurmountable pressure from many different directions. Matt’s partner up until a year ago was an Officer of Color and he is one of his very best friends. This is what I ask for in your prayers today. Please protect these officers from the barrage of things being hurled at them right now. They are still showing up. Their fatigue is not from lack of sleep. Their burden cannot be assisted by their partners who can never really understand. They are hurting in a way nobody will ever comprehend. They are fighting a fight that is only solved by God. I pray that these peace officers today find just that.
